For our exclusive holiday packaging we collaborated with Australian (and internationally loved) designer Gemma O'Brien in order to bring our unique seasonal motifs to life.

The brief: be Wild at Heart! Every illustration in the artwork celebrates the unique spirit of MIMCO and the joy of summer.

How did you go about bringing MIMCO's seasonal motifs to life in the ‘wild at heart' packaging?

The starting point for the packaging design were the elements that inspired the summer collection: flowers, shells and the crab-heart. I wanted to create designs that had intricacy, detail and flow with playful, feminine lettering as the focal point.

What is your favourite element of the artwork?

I love the crab-heart!

Can you tell us a bit about your creative journey—how did you get to where you are today?

My creative journey began around ten years ago when I dropped out of law school and enrolled in a design degree. It’s the best decision I’ve made and I’ve been drawing, painting and designing ever since.

What is the best thing about your job?

I feel very lucky to have a creative job. The best thing is to be able to travel, be inspired and translate that into art.

How do you plan on spending your summer holidays?

This summer I’ll be enjoying some down time at home in Sydney by the beach.
