We’re a creative bunch here at MIMCO. Always looking at ways to innovate and connect with the women who take home our creations. Inspiration behind our pieces is gleaned from conversations we have with friends, music we’ve heard, films we’ve watched or just a doodle we’ve created that ends up taking on a life of its own.

At the heart of MIMCO is our Melbourne-based design team who mix up this inspiration with our season story and a knowledge of quality fabrics, trimmings and jewels to create truly collectable pieces, season after season. Everything begins with a sketch, before it’s shared with skilled artisans across the globe – most of whom we have worked with for more than a decade – to create an original piece that embodies the MIMCO essence.

For our new season, Atomic Ranger, our design team drew inspiration from a romantic tapestry woven with Renaissance references, re-worked military influences and a free-spirited touch of 1970’s flair (or should we say, flare?). And so it was only natural for a fierce seasonal spirit animal to guide our season muse – enter the Courageous collection.

Covetable, cool, and totally collectable, the Courageous collection has been crafted as the “leader of the pack” when it comes to attention-seeking accessories. The jewellery pieces are crafted from antique gold toned brass, the metal that forms each individual lion’s head has been moulded, hammered and textured separately by our artisans overseas, before tiger eye stones and glass pearls are hand-set into the sculptured motif.

Before each piece in the collection is born, our jewellery and leather accessories designers, along with Managing & Creative Director, Cathryn Wills (CW), see’s the entire design journey as an opportunity to meet the desires of the MIMCO woman.
