Two of our designers, Sophie and Sarah, delve into the inspiration behind the collection and tell us which pieces they love the most—and that’s no easy task!

What were the inspirations behind the shapes and silhouettes?

We wanted to create a collection that was highly feminine and intricately designed—in every single detail. We created shapes that were wearable but also inspirational; we looked to this season’s major trends and added a unique MIMCO twist.

Do you have a favourite piece?

I love the Eavesdrop Day Bag. The shades of pink are so beautiful, and it's such an easy bag to wear. The colour can be worn as a neutral, but is also so elegant.

What are the materials and techniques in the collection—what makes them so special?

The print features screen-printed florals that are intricately embellished with decorative contrast coloured stitching and an ombre colour effect. Microstudding in multiple tones adds a subtle layer of texture. And the stunning hardware is finished with enamel and resin.

What were the inspirations behind the shapes and silhouettes?

We were inspired by bodies of water and in particular bath houses and sculptural fountain designs for the July range. We wanted to create high end impact pieces reminiscent of cascading water.

Do you have a favourite piece?

My favourite would have to be the Eavesdrop Drop Ear. It’s a great statement piece and the detachable seahorse sleeper earring offers multi-wear options—a MIMCO signature.
